Hi Everyone! My today’s post is about Sugar Cosmetic’s Matte As Hell Lip Crayon in the shade Scarlet O’Hara (Red) and Marry Poppins (Fushia Pink). I know, I don’t have to introduce this much as this product has already been hyped a lot in the Indian Market. Still want to share my thoughts & opinion on these lippies.

I am actually quite late to get my hands on these..don’t know why?? But now, ever since I got these, I am really impressed..and obsessed..and happy  with it’s quality. It launched in 4 gorgeous shades, but now recently Sugar Cosmetics has introduced one more pretty shade “Rose Dawson”(peachy pink shade).

Sharpener Comes with the Crayon

Sugar Cosmetics is an Indian brand which launched in late 2015. It came up with a couple of products for eyes and lips. After entering the market, this brand has won hearts with it’s quality & excellence of products. I am using it’s Eyeliner-I Told You So-Black Swan, which I love already(picture given below for reference) and have heard really good reviews about other products as well . So now, let’s jump into the Lip Crayon’s Review:

Price: Rs. 799/-

Available: here

Shades that I Own:

01 Scarlet O’Hara: It’s a gorgeous statement red shade which will suit almost all skin tones. Don’t have much to say about this color. It’s just pretty:))

02 Marry Poppins: It’s a bright blue toned fushia pink color. It gives a very bright look on face. This may not suit all skin tones but definitely for those who like it bold. This one’s my favorite!!

Texture & Pigmentation: These lip crayons have definitely the most comfortable lip formula I have ever tried. The texture is extremely smooth and light in finish.  The pigmentation is very very good, giving an opaque color payoff. A single swipe gives enough color and coverage, need not to drag it more. Thumbs Up!!

Formula: As I said, it has the most comfortable formula. Like other matte lipsticks, it “does not” dry  out lips and settles into a durable powdery finish. It has a smooth and silky formula which simply glides on the lips. The only single con of it is that they transfer a little, which is not a big concern, it hardly affect it’s pigmentation.

Longevity: The wear time of these lip crayons is really good. It stayed for good 4-5 hours with smudging or fading. It also survived heavy means and 2nd touch up is not much needed, unless you really want to.

Overall View:

  • Amazing quality.
  • Colors are formulated sply. for Indian skin tone.
  • Very good pigmentation.
  • Settles into durable powdery matte finish.
  • Does not dry out lips.
  • Soft lip crayon, glides smoothly on lips.
  • Does not accentuate fine line. However, exfoliating lips will give best possible result.
  • Does not have any taste or product scent.
  • Unique and attractive names.
  • Comes with a crayon sharpener. These are not retractable-means a lot of product loss while sharpening.
  • Good longevity
  • Have to be extra cautious while closing the cap as it might can break the crayon tip.

Overall, I just love ’em. If you are fond of mattes, then these Lip Crayons are your Cup Of Tea. These lip crayons are not budget friendly but still affordable lip products. Worth trying. Definitely recommend these. Would love to try out other shades too!!

See You Soon..XOXO
